Philosophy & Mission

Philosophy

Music and yoga are alike in that they both require heart, introspection, listening, expression, and space. People gravitate towards music as it shines their deepest feelings, and likewise in yoga, each pose is a gateway to felt emotions via the terrain of muscle and fascia. The most vulnerable states are unveiled through asana, breath work, and the transition from chaos to kindness.

Mission

Sharon’s mission is to guide students to be in a pose or to play a passage as a way to be in their lives: fully committed, openly expressive, kind, compassionate, honest, and inquisitive. Yoga and music are mediums through which one builds a solid structure of fundamentals and then woodsheds a passage or works a tight posture by investigating in and around the dense areas of inquiry.
